6Li enriched, Cerium (Ce) activated glass with high thermal neutron absorption for use in hostile environments such as well logging. Emission characteristics are compatible with Photo Multiplier Tubes (PMT).
Cerium activated lithium glass scintillators have been used for a wide array of radiation detection applications since their development in the late 1950’s.
Neutron glass geometry can be tailored to customer requirements. 6Li enriched glass available for use alongside 7Li enriched glass to enable enhanced Neutron/Gamma discrimination. The glass is capable of performing in a wide range of temperature conditions from -200°C to +250°C and is resistant to almost all organic and inorganic chemicals. These characteristics make it extremely robust and ideal for use within harsh environments.
